The Charge of the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC)

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

The charge of the Pastor Nominating Committee is to lead the congregation through the process of discerning, searching, and nominating the next pastor for First Presbyterian Church. This includes the preparation of search documentation, the search and interview of potential candidates, the extension and negotiation of a call, and the support and onboarding of the elected pastor.
